JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Altai Consulting is recruiting a business development coordinator to support its Public Policy developments across the Middle East and Africa. The coordinator will work under the direct supervision Altai Partners and in coordination with Altai regional management teams.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Screening of business development opportunities on donors and aid & development portals / platforms;

  • Identification of relevant opportunities in relation with Altai core skills and geographies;

  • Assessment of required expertise and identification of relevant experts and partners;

  • Development of proposals, in coordination with Altai regional teams;

  • Coordination of administrative documents in line with clients requirements;

  • Quality control and submission to clients;

  • Maintenance of CVs, maintenance of the Knowledge Management (KM) platform, company communication material (capstats, profiles)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education requirements: Masters’ degree or higher in International Relations and/or Development, Public Policy, Economics or Engineering.

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience coordinating business development for international development organizations, consulting firms, think tanks, INGOs;

  • Strong knowledge of EU, UK and US contracting frameworks and requirements;

  • Experience in research and M&E in Africa and the Middle East;

  • Field experience is a plus;

Analytical and writing skills requirements:

  • Strong experience screening terms of references and organizing proposals outlines;

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to develop methodological guidelines, collect and organize a variety of data and documents (including legal and financial documents) with particular attention to details and accuracy (required);

  • Knowledge of Excel and donors budget templates and requirements;

Other: Flexible, self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently; client oriented and team player.
