Project Description:
Customer and Products IT consists of 4 Value Streams – Lending, International, Customer and FX&Payments. Focusing on Retail Customer related IT applications such as credit cards and mortgages and various other systems/applications used to provide good quality service to our Customers.
Responsibilities:
The key tasks will include some or all of the following:
– Assisting with the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims. Change implementation projects are out of scope
– Participate and support in business planning activities which may include financial, technological and resource planning
– Contribute to senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums and stakeholder feedback
– Support in forums and committees to represent view of business area
– Support the development and monitoring of internal governance activities
– Investigating and seeking remedies for discrete issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance
– Evaluate and analyse management information relating to external service providers of their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honoured
– Overall accountability for BPs within Value Stream (Understand forecast and performance against budget, acts as escalation point for budget issues from CSM, escalates to VS Lead / Finance Lead where required) – Oversight and support of QBR process
– Validation and 2-way communication and feedback on funding changes to the VSIP at VS & SVS level between transformation and the platforms
– Create monthly Charges reporting for Value Stream
– Ensures budgets are interlocked
– Proactive review of all financially impacting charging/billing issues within CT
– Works with Business to agree / confirm CAMs for BPS within Value Stream
– Shares CAM approach with Country BMs – Involvement in CAM Allocations review for VS
– Supports CAM changes and works with Finance lead to effect changes
– Oversight and support of QBR – Gate-keeping, management, tracking and review of changes to the VSIP either driven from CT or the QBR.
– Management of VS & SVS financial position against VSIP
– Financial (capacity) reporting and feedback to QBR forum on Digital Enabler Value Stream
– Market OB interactions and estimates – Support and reporting of market-related updates to Digital Enabler VS in VSIP VS & SVS
– Manages Value Stream BPs in GPDM working with SVS Leads
– Ensures BP spend does not exceed budget
– Forecasts and reports BP spend against budget (monthly) –
Management / resolution budget issues e.g. overspend, unexpected charges
– Escalates to Lead BM / SVS Lead where issues cannot be resolved
– Consolidates Value Stream BPs – Keeps track of / manages Clarity / HIBS actuals and ensures in line with forecasts
– Firm understanding of people profile (location, external / internal, open roles phasing) & link to directs and charges forecasts
– Awareness of all Third party management owned by platform and financial treatment thereof
– Manages / maintains VS BPs in GPDM
Mandatory Skills Description:
– Minimum 5 years in financial budgeting experience – Strategic planning skillset – Good communication – People management processes – Strong Excel – Work well in the matrix organization
