  1. Background:

Since 2012, The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) Jordan country program has been responding to the Syrian emergency with funding support from various related agencies and donors. Following the eruption of the Syrian conflict ten years ago, which led to a considerable number of displaced populations, including over 650,000 refugees, into Jordan. LWF has continued playing an active role in coordinating emergency response, including UNHCR-led sector working groups. In addition, LWF is also an active member of the ACT alliance at the country and regional levels. The LWF Jordan program activities focus on the sectors of protection, basic needs, livelihood, and education in the governorates of Irbid, Zarqa, and Mafraq (Za’atari camp).

LWF Jordan is implementing a project funded by ELCA that aims to improve the diversity of food and nutrition security of Syrian refugees and host communities in the Irbid governorate and increase household income through the Hydroponic System. Therefore, LWF Beneficiaries are equipped with the knowledge and tools for planting vegetables and fruits through Hydroponic agriculture.

  1. Duties and Responsibilities

The Trainer will do the following tasks:

  • Conducting advanced training courses for 34 beneficiaries on Business and Marketing in Irbid & Zarqa.
  • Prepare pre-assessments and post-assessments for the training.
  • Provide us with the training material before the sessions start.
  • Provide 4 days of training in each area, 8 sessions in total.
  1. Scope of Work

LWF Jordan is implementing a project funded by ELCA, and FCA aims to improve economic support for women and design advocacy campaigns, and support the challenges facing women in the labour market and limit their economic participation.

Where 30 women from the local community will participate in the training to raise their capabilities in business management and E-marketing. Where these women participated in two group projects, one of them in Zarqa, specialised in supporting their digital capabilities and starting marketing, advertising, and photography operations, and the other project in Irbid about a kitchen for health. products and selling them through social networking sites.

  1. Expected Outputs and Deliverables
  • Prepare the Final report to contain qualitative, quantitate data, recommendations, challenges, training materials, beneficiaries’ questions, and process evaluation learned.
  • Focus on reaching results while ensuring an efficient process.
  • Involve relevant parties and encourage feedback.
  • Take ownership and initiative while aiming for innovation.
  • Listen and speak effectively and honestly.

The expected Outcome for the beneficiaries:

  • Basic business concepts
  • The project idea is effective and viable
  • Use the appropriate methods for the success of e-marketing
  • Distinguish between e-marketing and traditional marketing
  • Gaining marketing experience and using it in the marketing process
  • Target the right category for your product
  • Correctly set financing rates
  • Follow up on competitors and customers to achieve the best results
  1. Indicators to evaluate the consultant’s performance

Performance indicators are:

  • Quality of reports including lesson learned and recommendation for the coming years.
  • Feedback from advocacy officer and M&E officer.
  1. Contract and Duration:

The services should be delivered between 21 January, to February 6th ,2023.

  1. Duty Station:

Lutheran World Federation/ Jordan program / Zarqa & Irbid community centers including Naya CBO with possible visits to beneficiary’s location.

  1. Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • University degree in marketing, advertising or communication
  • Field experience in marketing and Business companies with minimum 4 years
  • Occupational competence in Social Media and Digital Marketing
  • Assessing the experience of the Digital Marketing and Marketing Executive Apprenticeship Standards desirable
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving performance targets.
  • Proven track record of imparting skills and learning to others.
  • Desire to assist learners in achieving their career and learning aspirations.
  • High level of self-motivation – ability to work on own initiative.
  • Good problem-solving / decision-making skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate others and influence work behaviors
  • Proven experience in delivering assignments of similar nature
  • Have TOT certificates on the subject.
  • Demonstrate understanding of working with vulnerable beneficiaries, the ability to respect the beneficiaries’ culture and beliefs, and the ability to treat them all equally
  • English and Arabic speakers.
  • Previous experience in designing and facilitating training on related subjects;
  • Self-directed, Strong interpersonal, initiative, and communication skills;
  • Commitment to LWF policies on promoting gender equality and diversity in the interests of marginalized people.
