About The Role:
As a Business Account Manager you will join our account management and business development team, which is driving the adoption of the Genedata Biopharma platform for both global pharma- and innovative biotechnology organizations. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities as well as expanding business with existing customers, which will ultimately power pharmaceutical industry and help make breakthrough discoveries and bring them to market faster.
This is an interdisciplinary role within the commercial operation at Genedata interfacing sales- and account management, product management and marketing.
The position offers a high level of interactivity and responsibility in a quickly growing company and the opportunity to work as part of a strong international team.
Your Responsibilities:
Key activities include working on both pre- and post-sales projects focused on our enterprise platforms Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess® which are tailored to support data- and workflow management in biopharma R&D.
- Stakeholder management (in pre- and post-sales)
- Coordinate with Genedata-internal stakeholders (e.g., project and product management and technical sales)
- Understand customer pain points to identify opportunities for new business development and business expansion with existing customers
- Build strong customer relationships across entire organizations with scientists, R&D heads, IT managers and other stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver scientific and sales presentations
Skills & Experience:
- MSc or PhD in biology, biotechnology, bioprocess, bioinformatics, or a related field
- Experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or software industry
- Familiar with biopharma R&D processes (discovery, bioprocess, bioanalytics, CMC), biopharma production, analytical instrumentation, or lab automation
- Familiarity with enterprise or capital equipment sales and stakeholder management is a plus
- Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently
- Ability to interact productively with scientists and IT experts at all levels of an organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (fluency in German is a plus)
- Strong interpersonal skills in combination with a talent for giving presentations
