Job Description

To support the design, implementation, and maintenance of BRF Compliance Program across the GCC.

Areas of focus include: Financial crime risk (sanctions, AML, CFT, other illicit finance risk), Antitrust/Competition, Anti-Corruption/FCPA, Export Controls, Conflicts of interest, Sales and marketing, and other related areas of Compliance.

The incumbent should be confident to work across several disciplines to understand the evolving risk landscape, taking action to help people succeed with Integrity, providing guidance to colleagues across the business, and responding to suspected misconduct – in a manner that everyone can trust.

The Compliance Specialist will support, in close collaboration with the colleagues in our global and regional teams, to address high-quality compliance counseling and act as a primary point of contact for its remit; including supporting Compliance tools for transactional review.
Drive the continuing development of our compliance program including:
Assist the Compliance Team in managing the priorities and pressing issues to meet the deadlines and commitments to internal clients.
Implement enterprise-wide and region-specific compliance initiatives to identify and mitigate key risks
Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Corporate Compliance team and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
Works with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
Monitors the performance of the Global Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.

Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Compliance or a related field (e.g., Legal, Finance, Audit, etc.)

Desirable requirements
Fluent in English. Portuguese, Arabic and/or Turkish are a plus
Excellent time management skills – be able to organize and meet monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines for multiple stakeholders in multiple time zones.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Responsiveness and ability to work flexibly in response to a changing environment
Ability to interact with senior management in a matrix organization
Excellent written, verbal communication skills, with the ability to process complex information and present targeted messages to different audiences
Willingness and ability to travel to meet the needs of the role

Experience
At least four years of international Compliance experience.
