Due to an internal promotion, you could be our next Assistant Project Manager.

A clearly defined career path awaits you, from this role into Project Manager and onto Senior Project Manager.

Purpose

This Assistant Project Manager role sits within the E-Assessment delivery team where you will support the Project Manager with multiple concurrent projects, approximately 7 a year (coinciding with each Exam series). Further adhoc projects will also be supported and managed alongside these.

What will you do?

You will be supporting with scoping the project from initiation to delivery and project closure. You will be managing in project issues, maintaining risk logs and action plans whilst keeping timely communication between key stakeholders, through to lessons learned sessions.

You will follow an existing project management lifecycle with a continuous improvement mindset for our internal customers. You will also be given the opportunity to manage your own smaller projects with support provided from the Project Manager.

You will be a part of a team who support learning and development and may be given the opportunity to study for project management specific qualifications such as Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner. The opportunity to learn and study continuous improvement qualifications is also supported and encouraged.

During the examination set-up period between mid-January and mid-April you will be required to work in the office more regularly in the secure area where you will be required to participate in repetitive onscreen work.

You will be looking for a career in project management and have worked in a similar field before as well as having a good understanding of IT and ensuring attention to detail is at the forefront of what you do.
