Architect Engineer

Overview of position

Role objectives

● The Architecture Engineering will contribute to the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates of costs for the project. Including detailed studies on specific items, conducting investigations, preparation of reports, inspection, and construction contract administration.

Designs and constructions tasks

● -Assist in drafting the architectural plans and drawings of the rehabilitation work

● Coordinate, or attend project-related meetings, such as pre-bid, pre- construction and project progress meetings.

● Assist in preparing and delivering the required documents in a professional way within specified working period(s).

● Assist in the adaptation plans for the Health facilities .

● Support in providing technical support for interior architecture detailed project.

● Assist in the overall production of photographic and texts material contents of Habitat III exhibition and venue branding.

● Supervision and monitoring of the civil works to be carried in the project

Project Supervising:

● Conduct site visits to the assigned health facilities, to assess and identify rehabilitation needs and requirements for all buildings and departments of the targeted hospital, and for all works and aspects such as civil works, WASH works, finishing works, furniture, etc.

● Assist in preparing the Bill of quantities and specifications of all required works (architectural design, furniture, etc.) in Arabic and English, as requested

Qualifications and Experience

a. Education

● Bachelor´s Degree in Architecture Engineering is required.

b. Work Experience

● 4 years of working experience in project assessment, design and management in rehabilitation projects and construction projects is required.

● Experience in rehabilitation and construction specifically in hospitals is preferred.

● Experience in the usage of computers and software packages (drawing software, structural software, office (MS Word, Excel, etc.), and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages is required.

● Advanced written and oral English and Arabic languages are required.
