Job Description

As an algorithm engineer intern in the Application Engineering team, you will have opportunity to research and develop new image processing and machine learning techniques using high level languages such as Python or Matlab.You will get an opportunity to use fundamental CS/EE/Math skills in finding and developing best in class software algorithm prototype for various applications such as SEM image enhancement, critical geometrical information extraction. The candidate is also expected to get their hands dirty in digging through source code, testing prototype and propose solutions to complex problems.

Key Deliverables

• Numerical code for implementing an empirical model to accurately capture the SEM signal interaction among multiple semiconductor patterning layers.
• Numerical code for critical value extraction (i.e. CD critical dimension, OVLoverlay between two layers), based on the acquired SEM images.
• Numerical code for enhancing SEM image qualities.
• Evaluation results of a variety algorithms using the key accuracy KPIs, based on both simulated and experimental SEM images.

Education And Experience

• Students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related technical field of engineering.
• Hands-on experience with algorithm development and its applications to imaging processing and object detection.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python or Matlab.Experience in developing or using deep learning frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, Keras, Caffe, PyTorch, ONNX, etc.)
• Strong analytical thinker (can easily “connect the dots”)
• Always showing independence and initiative, and a pro-active attitude;
• Driven – never giving-up until the job is completely done;
• Strong communication and reporting skills;
• Excellent English language skills (both verbal and non-verbal);
