As part of Apple’s Commute Alternatives Program, the APAC Commute Coordinator reports to Commute Alternatives Manager, This pivotal position will collaborate with all teams whose business objectives require development and operations of shuttles and transportation programs. The life cycle of these programs will include: Conducting RFP’s with local procurement team, selecting and recommending vehicles; monitoring drivers, scheduling, auditing safety and maintenance programs and ensure regulatory compliance. The coordinator will manage all aspects of engagement with customer base, including route planning, email correspondence, web updates, and setting clear and consistent expectations. This position will work closely with other corporate teams including Risk Management, Legal, Finance, Global Security, Procurement, EHS, Retail, HR and others. The APAC Commute Coordinator will manage through deep collaboration and professional support within the department, and develops and maintains outside vendor and service provider relationships.

We are flexible with work location for this role – Hyderabad OR Bangalore.

Key Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience and minimum 5 years experience of managing or co-managing transportation, logistics, fleet or commute operations

• Top notch communication, interpersonal, and analytics skills

• Finance and accounting literacy

• Highly collaborative with ability to focus on big picture while maintaining daily operational excellence

• In-depth knowledge of local transportation regulations in various countries in APAC region

• Must be adaptable to change and be open to finding diverse and unexpected solutions to challenges and problems.

Description

APAC Commute Coordinator will give strategic and tactical support for Apple Commute operations in Singapore, Vietnam, India and other countries in the APAC region. Critical needs support requires extensive industry knowledge ranging from compliance and reporting to scheduling and route planning. APAC Commute Coordinator must be capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Leadership skills are of equal importance with knowledge and technical abilities, understanding that managing the program is a customer-centric operation that requires daily operational excellence.

• Coordinate 3rd party APAC and India campus and factory shuttle operations, including safety and maintenance monitoring

• Ensure contract compliance and adherence to strict safety standards

• Maintain positive, proactive and responsive employee communications regarding programmatic operations

• In conjunction with local business leaders and key stakeholders, deploy changes related to program operations as needed

• Analyze monthly ridership, operations and safety reporting and make recommendations on how to improve participation or system efficiency

• Compile program progress reports and performance against performance indicators

• Stay current with regulatory and legislative changes to implement updates to reporting, as needed

• Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPI’s to ensure programmatic and financial optimization

• Adhere to cost control requirements, including payment processing, PO estimates and budget adherence

• Supports other programs related to: Transportation, R&D, Commute, Events as well as other duties, as assigned.

• Supports web updates and responds to all customer queries in a timely manner

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships among several groups and deliver the highest level of satisfaction to Commute internal customers

• Be available to work nights, weekends and holidays on requirement basis.

• Oversee vendors to ensure correct scheduling and quality work performance.

• Respond to and provide the proper response to emergency situations.
