Government agency looking for two senior project managers to assist in several health capital works projects.
Your new company
Our client is a business unit within Queensland Government who provide capital services including land use planning, property services, design, procurement, delivery and maintenance for community health settings. Due to a peak in workload and a healthy project pipeline, they are looking to add two Project Managers to their department to assist with their various building projects.
Your new role
You will be responsible for leading and managing several large-scale projects to ensure efficient project delivery. This will include the planning and design of projects using relevant project management methodology, providing approvals and quotation documentation, and overseeing overall project performance. You will also be responsible for managing the engagement and performance of project stakeholders to enable the delivery of an on time, on budget quality project.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in these roles, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work. Therefore, you will ideally come from a background in project management, with experience in property and infrastructure planning. You will understand the legislation, policies, procedures and standards involved in the development of capital works projects. Given your role includes tender and documentation, you will also need a solid understanding of Microsoft programs in order to complete regular project reporting. A relevant qualification in project management, architecture or engineering would also be beneficial.
What you’ll get in return
You will be offered a March start with a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position banding A07 + super. You will also have the potential opportunity to work from home.
