Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principals- independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been part of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of under-nutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts or natural disasters. RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the responsability of the Country Director, the Area Coordinator provide leadership for ACF in the Eastern region of Ukraine in order to deliver a quality and timely humanitarian response to events as assigned.
Your main objectives are to:
– Provide Leadership and/or Set-up and Support to Operational and Program Implementation
– Be involve in Programming and Strategy Development for the development of potential partnerships in the area, program expansion at both geographical and sectoral dimensions, coordination and integration of new program assessments and evaluation recommendations in project areas
– Overall accountability for Area Finance, Human Resources, and Logistics
– Team Management of 7 people directly through recruitment, onboarding system, team objectives, capacity building, promoting of ACF values
– Internal and External Coordination
– Security Management : context security assessment, define security protocols , context follow-up and update security protocols as necessary, ensure the correct application of security measures and manage incidents as required

REQUESTED PROFILE

You have a higher degree in a field related to humanitarian action: project management, technical training related to one of our sectors of intervention, human resources management, financial management, etc. with at least 3 years of field experience with iNGOs in a similar position and in complex security context. A previous experience with ACF is an asset.
You are fluent in English, Russian or Ukrainian is an asset.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

– 6 months fixed term contract under French legislation
– Monthly gross salary from 2735EUR to 3185EUR upon experience
– Monthly per diem and living allowance: 686EUR net, field paid
– Monthly country allowance: 450EUR
– Child allowance: 1500EUR per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000EUR/year)
– 16% of the gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens
– Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
– Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (social security + health insurance) and repatriation insurance
– Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year and 215 EUR at each RnR period
