A DEPUTY COUNTRY DIRECTOR SUPPORT – UKRAINE

Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of under-nutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts or natural disasters. RESPONSIBILITIES

As Deputy Country Director Support, you’ll coordinate the mission’s Finance, HR and Logistics departments ensuring the use of the ACF and donors procedures are known as well as developing and implementing support department startegies within the overall Mission strategy.
More precisely, you will :
– Stabilise the structure and functioning of the three support departments of Ukraine mission
– Review and improve the level of compliance within Logistics, Finance and HR processes according to ACF and Ukrainian requirements.
– Harmonise and roll out support functions throughout ACF partnerships in Ukraine.
The main challenge will be to coordinate support services and increase the level of support it brings to ACF operations in Ukraine. The main objectives are
– Develop the 3 support departments
– Team Management
– Provide quality support to operations (MHPSS, FSL, Health and Nutrition and WaSH)

REQUESTED PROFILE

Education & experience
– Master’s degree in relevant sector (accounting, finance, suppy chain, management, HR etc)
– At least 5 years of experience in operations in international INGOs
– At least 2 years experience at senior management level with ability to support and empower a large team
– Experience in security and safety management in volatile environments
Skills & qualifications
– Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills
– Ability to absord a significant workload and work under pressure
– Adaptability, cultural awareness and ability to work with various nationalities
– Fluency in English
– Knowledge of ACF internal logistics processes would be a plus (Link software, etc.)
– Knowledge of the region and local languages (Ukrainian and / or Russian) would be a great plus too

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

– 6 months fixed term contract under French legislation
– Monthly gross salary from 2735 to 3185EUR upon experience
– Monthly per diem and living allowance: 686EUR net, field paid
– Monthly country allowance: 300EUR
– Child allowance: 1500EUR per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000EUR/year)
– 16% of the gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens
– Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
– Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (social security + health insurance) and repatriation insurance
– Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year and 215 EUR at each RnR period
