Job Summary

Provide administrative and clinical administrative support for the Post-Baccalaureate Nursing Program and program director. Includes clinical administrative support for additional nursing programs in both the College of Adult & Professional Studies and Graduate School.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as administrative assistant to the program director with major responsibilities of scheduling meetings, general administrative work, and special projects as needed.
  • Provide first point of contact for the program (face-to-face, phone, and electronic). Assist with program events, e.g., advisory board and on-campus student experiences.
  • Support on-boarding of new program faculty and assist program faculty as needed.
  • Responsible for program database collection and maintenance in the areas of:
  • Clinical contracts, databases, agency rosters, reporting for agencies, and student and faculty compliance; in collaboration with the program director
  • Clinical evaluation, exams, and course grade-books databases.
  • Course and program evaluation.
  • Accreditation documentation.
  • Admission and progression data.
  • Schedule, transcribe, and maintain all program exams, testing accommodations, and syllabi.
  • Coordinate and update program newsletters, handbooks, orientations, evaluations/surveys, and websites; in collaboration with the program director.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power-Point) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc.).
  • Ability to manage time and work simultaneously on multiple tasks through effective personal organization with the ability to prioritize and shift directions easily, have high attention to detail, and maintain strict accuracy.
  • Must have a proven ability in providing strong customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • A strong commitment to quality interpersonal relationships and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional and secure manner is essential.

Required Experience

1+ years of office experience.

Required Education

Post-high school training/coursework required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Additional Information

Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Position is predominantly in person.
