OVERVIEW Assists the Portfolio Management team in the management of client portfolios through trade executions and settlement, reconciliation, report generation and customer service. Client contact (internal and external) is an integral part of the position with superior customer service and attention to detail required. The position involves constant interaction with the Portfolio Managers as well as Relationship Managers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Working as a member of the Portfolio Management team, responsible for:

  • PORTFOLIO ASSISTANCE: Work closely with the Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts. Functions include, but are not limited to: generate the report set necessary for the Portfolio Manager to conduct account analysis, update and maintain databases, generate client reports as requested.
  • SECURITIES TRADE EXECUTION: Accept buy and sell orders from internal and external clients. Exercises discretion in order to evaluate market conditions to determine ideal timing for trade execution. Execute trade orders including money market products, equity securities and mutual funds. Release and process trade orders using the M&I trade system. Reconcile trade positions daily. Coordinate with back office personnel, securities dealers and outside account managers to ensure accurate and timely settlement of trades and problem resolution.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provide high quality customer service to the department’s clients (internal and external).
  • REPORT PREPARATION: Identifies and evaluates the business reporting needs of Portfolio Managers in order to proactively develop reports. Prepare Portfolio Management Group’s reports including but not limited to: monthly compliance reporting, month end pricing, undefined securities reports, annual account reviews and mutual fund performance. Prepare reports as requested by the Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Analysts or internal clients.
  • RECORDKEEPING: Responsible for accurate record keeping, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulator requirements. Assists in administering compliance programs to identify problems and provides reporting related to compliance activities.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required.
  • Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.
