Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the– Accounts Payable Assistant – Maternity Cover in London Save the Children International office location.

Role Purpose:

The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and employee expenses, resolving queries promptly and maintaining good working relationships with staff and suppliers. Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills are essential to provide high service standards and maintain robust financial controls.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • More than 3 years accounts payable experience with good numeracy skills is essential
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Practical experience of using computerised accounting systems
  • Proven ability to work quickly and accurately, paying attention to detail
  • Good reconciliation skills; intermediate level of Excel knowledge is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and administration skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within set guidelines individually and as a team member
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Commitment to Save the Children values

We can offer circa £26,800 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.

This role is based in London Save the Children International office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
