Key Accountabilities

· Performs accounting entries, update ledgers and reconcile accounts

· Supports the preparation and coordination of the audit process, as well as, the internal financial controls and procedures

· Ensures all assigned reconciliations are prepared and reviewed accurately

· Communicates on a regular basis with vendors, reconciling accounts and following up on payments

· Supports month-end and year-end process and financial reports

· Participates in audits by donors and/or chartered accountants

· Assists in budgeting

· Carries out the monthly payroll and registers the payroll account entries

· Ensures all payroll procedures are performed accurately and timely

· Allocates salary costs to the respective cost centers

· Ensures compliance with the Greek Labor and Insurance Legislation

· Ad hoc requests, as needed

Qualifications and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience

· Familiarity with Navision and Pylon will be considered an asset

· Knowledge of Greek GAAP (IFRS would be a plus)

· Knowledge of ERGANI

· Excellent use of MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)

· Fluency in Greek and English, both oral and written
