Summary

This position is responsible for strategic territory planning, identifying and engaging with potential customers (small and mid-size biotechs) through a multi-channel approach including emails, phone calls and social media connections, such as LinkedIn. It requires pro-active approach, building meaningful relationships across different business units of Syneos Health, vendors and customers to maximize the return on near term or future opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed assigned annual sales targets.
  • Each year prepares business plan (known as territory bell curves) with the assistance of management and available business intelligence (BI) such as Zymewire, Citeline, general google searches etc. Reviews ongoing plans through own analysis and when business needs and client needs change.
  • Maintains effective and meaningful relationships with developing leads on a continuous basis.
  • Delivers the Company’s messaging on differentiators, capabilities and experience, through effective communication with potential customers; conducts discussions with internal and external decision makers that help advance the engagement and sale.
  • Documents and monitors progress in Salesforce [Customer Relationship Management software (CRM)], including lead research details, tracking contacts, and relevant follow-up information.
  • Initiates and prioritizes use of internal and external data and technology to conduct research and monitors factors within accounts and contacts to assess a strategy for engagement and development of relationships.
  • Leverages from all meetings and conferences with business development to generate leads and engagement with current and new accounts as agreed.
  • Establishes and maintains an appropriate internal network for business needs, including but not limited to, business development and business units.
  • Participates in business development processes and meetings to ensure consistency and alignment to activity.
  • Generates and analyzes reports to manage account development metrics and KPIs.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in a biological science, business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some level of experience in, sales, lead generation, customer relationship development and management, predominantly via phone calls, emails and professional networks such as LinkedIn. 2+ years CRO or closely related prospecting experience for Sr. ADM may have working knowledge of clinical development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, and voicemail. CRM (Salesforce) skills in managing a customer relationship database beneficial. Effective written interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to conduct research using various online resources. A sales disposition and inquisitive problem solving skills relating to diligently qualifying and researching clients. Above average attention to detail, accuracy and organizational, skills. Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines preferred. Ability to demonstrate persistence and achievement in hitting targets. Being a self-starter and being resourceful is necessary to perform this job successfully.
