RESPONSIBILITIES

At the local level, you federate the members of your team around the achievement of a common objective by ensuring the supervision, animation and reinforcement of their capacities. In addition, in accordance with ACF, international standards and national policies, you ensure the implementation of the project in compliance with established procedures and dedicated resources. You will participate in the coordination and representation of the WASH department with partners and other actors in your area of intervention. You also contribute to the analysis of the WASH context of your area of intervention and to the definition of the vision, positioning and strategy of the mission in the related sector.
The main activities will be related to :
– Suport to internally displaced population in terms of hygiene and sanitation;
– Emergency water treatment in affected areas (mobile water treatment plants);
– Water quality monitoring;
– Support to water utilities and waste water treatment.

REQUESTED PROFILE

Requested :
– Advanced skills in at least two of the following key WASH areas: Hydro-geology – Hydrology – Civil engineering and sizing of basic WASH structures (wells, reservoirs, latrines, showers) – Hydraulics – Hydro-chemistry/water quality – Health promotion/public health – Community mobilization – Sanitation – WASH in emergency situations – Project-related statistical analyses and investigative techniques
– At least 3 years of work experience in the implementation of WASH projects in the humanitarian sector.
– Working proficiency in English; Ukrainian and/or Russian will be a plus
Desired :
– Knowledge of the ACF WASH intervention framework, including ACF strategies, WASH policy and manuals, sectoral training tools
– Knowledge of the area of intervention and other ACF sectors of intervention (Nutrition, FSL, Mental Health and Care Practices)
– Familiarity with GIS, data analysis and water modeling software
– Previous experience in country program startup
– Experience in handling partnerships with national NGOs and provide capacity building to their staff
– Complementary skills in: Geophysics, Drilling, Anthropology, Cartography

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

– Monthly gross salary from 2010EUR to 2335EUR upon experience
– Per diem and living allowance: 493 Euros net, field paid
– Monthly country allowance: 450 Euros
– 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen
– Child allowance, 1500EUR/year/child (capped to 6000EUR)
– Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission
– 100% coverage of health contributions (social security + private insurance) and repatriation insurance
– 25 days of paid leaves per year
– 20 RnR per year. + 215 EUR at each RnR period. Coverage of the transportation expenses to the RnR area of reference
