
UN Volunteers
Under the overall supervision of the UNDP Project Manager/Coordinator and Communications Analyst of UNDP Moldova Country Office, the International Communications & Liaison Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the projects “Multidimensional response to emerging human security challenges” and “Promotion of Human Security of Ukrainian refugees, third-country nationals, and the host communities in Moldova through Socio-Economic Empowerment and Inclusion” in their mandate to achieve its objectives for communications and advocacy, and will assume the following responsibilities: Responsibilities:
• Act as liaison with the Japanese Embassy to Chisinau and relevant UNDP units, including representation office.
• Develop project’s communications strategy and plans, in coordination with the donor, partners.
• Develop branding templates of the project, supervise compliance with branding requirements of outgoing project’s materials.
• Develop and proofread project’s communications materials to a professional standard for English language audiences, including speeches, blog posts, op-eds, articles, success stories, interviews, photo essays, press releases etc.
• Work in the preparation of required briefing and presentation materials, background information and talking points for high-level events, interviews, meetings, and missions. • Coordinate communications materials with donors and partners.
• Coordinate production of promotional materials (printed materials, banners, rollups, stickers, marking signs etc.).
• Conceptualise and manage production of audiovisual content. Develop scripts and storyboards for video stories.
• Conceptualise and implement awareness and advocacy campaigns.
• Conceptualise and manage project’s events, including: press-conferences, press clubs meetings, press tours, site visits, launches, conferences, policy dialogues etc.
• Provide and update inputs as well as technical support to the UNDP social media accounts, website, GIS map of projects.
• Conceptualize and manage development process of communications assets: graphics for social media, layout of knowledge products, infographics, illustrations etc.
• Contribute to project’s publications, including reports, newsletters etc. Manage development of brochures, leaflets etc.
• Monitor effectiveness of communications efforts and external press coverage, and other domestic or international developments that may be of relevance to UNDP.
• Complete other ad-hoc tasks as required by the project and supervisor. Results/expected outputs As an active UNDP team member, efficient, timely, responsive, client-friendly and high-quality support rendered to UNDP and its beneficiaries in the accomplishment of her/his functions, including:
• Builds strong relationships with stakeholders, focuses on impact and result for individuals and responds positively to feedback.
• Provide an international perspective along with best practices on the work of UNDP.
• Consistently approaches work with initiative, sound judgement and a positive, constructive attitude.
