Reporting to the team leader in Mumbai and ultimately to the Global Pitchbooks Manager (based in London), the Sales Pitchbooks Writer is accountable and responsible for actively project managing, creating and delivering best in class pitchbook documents supporting the onshore writer in the region. This is achieved as the local presence within a global team of Pitchbooks writers. The Pitchbooks Writer will work closely with his/her colleagues in the broader Global Pitchbooks team and in partnership with his/her colleagues in the Knowledge, Proposals, and Design teams.

On a daily basis, the Pitchbooks Writer is responsible for overall pitchbook planning & execution – and coordinating all pitchbook activities from controlling the pitchbook development process to preparing compliant, winning pitchbooks. Within this core objective, the Pitchbooks Writer is responsible for developing a strategic pitch document, translating requirements, sales themes and strategies into pages that meet the customers’ needs as provided by the Sales Executive. This requires ensuring that all pitchbook contributors adhere to the pitchbook development process and that the pitchbook speaks to the needs of the client. The Pitchbooks Writer will need to facilitate strong working relationships with senior partners in the firm across sales, service, markets, product, platform & technology.

As well as delivering sales Pitchbooks, the Pitchbook Writer is expected to contribute to the constant improvement and reengineering of the execution model and process. Within the strategic framework of the Sales Enablement Group, and in partnership with the Pitchbooks team – the Pitchbooks Writer is expected to conceive, escalate and execute constant development to the methodologies and product of pitchbooks – including transformation of layouts, packaging & electronic delivery mechanism.

Accountabilities.

  • Appropriately project-manage pitchbook document creation, focusing on the development and execution of excellence in written and visual communications for stakeholders in Sales
  • Project management of multiple documents with tight deadlines (local, regional and global).
  • Manage and monitor workload to ensure that all internal/external deadlines are met.
  • Manage pitchbook documents – developing and executing excellence in written pitch communications for stakeholders over a geographically dispersed region.
  • Escalate problems and issues appropriately for resolution in advance of project deadlines.
  • Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with internal clients in Sales with a view to understanding cultural nuances both of team and stakeholders to enhance engagement & profile of the Pitchbooks team.
  • Evaluate pitchbook processes against firm and industry standards to ensure that JPM’s product is competitive.
  • Work in partnership with Proposals, Knowledge, and Design including effective engagement and communication to ensure execution of group strategy.
  • Ensuring adherence to SOPs detailing step step-by-step processes for BAU activities. Continually seek ways to improve processes and implement improvements/changes.
  • Engaging and communicating effectively with managers to keep them informed of activity in the region.
  • Act as local point for queries and issues, resolving them directly wherever possible.
  • Suggest ways to further refine process, systems and methodologies to improve the quality of work completed by the Pitchbooks Team.
  • Behave and operate at all times as a leader in the business. Represent the best interests of Platform Sales and the Sales Enablement Group as your first goal in any interaction.
  • Continually work with stakeholders, contributors and the Knowledge team to gather, maintain and deliver accurate, compliant and up-to-date materials.
