An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Recruitment Coordinator to work as part of the Education Partnerships Team at the College, supporting in both the recruitment and retention of students across the college. The post holder will be responsible for forming strong and positive relationships with internal curriculum teams and student services, as well as coordinating activities and implementing learner journey and applicant processes that contribute to achieving and exceeding recruitment numbers and subsequent retention of students.
The post holder will have a visible presence to both staff and students and will work across the College to support both applicants and current students. The post holder will be a central point of contact for referral of students at risk of withdrawing and will work with internal staff across the College as well as students who are looking to change course. The post holder will offer relevant IAG to ensure a smooth transfer onto an alternative programme so that students are able to continue their education at the College.
The role requires a clear understanding of the Newcastle College curriculum offer (full training provided), the ability to plan and coordinate retention and recruitment related activities, support curriculum teams to deliver interventions where necessary, coordinate the ‘Course Switch Process’ as well as ‘engagement activities in collaboration with the central marketing team.
The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive approach to work, be proactive, creative, and have a passion for working with and inspiring students as well as being able to work effectively with educational professionals.
