Finance & Payments Analyst – EF English Live

The team in London is a young, dynamic and international group of about 50 people.

As a Finance and Payments Analyst based at our flagship London Chelsea office, you will work closely with a dynamic, international team and get a hands-on operational finance experience in a fast-growing international business. The financial analyst role provides a chance for an energetic, bright analyst to contribute to the World’s leading online English language learning business, helping to deliver a real business impact.

The initial responsibilities will involve tasks such as:

  • Liaising with teams on accounts receivable and payables
  • Observing, investigating and fixing payment transactions that look suspicious or could be fraudulent. Designing improvements and implementing solutions to mitigate these risks
  • Assisting in the streamlining and sunsetting of old payment gateways
  • Liaising with regional sales and operations teams on payments related projects and owning the resolution of issues with our suppliers
  • Maintaining, verifying and analyzing data for reporting and budgeting
  • Performing budget and cost analysis where required
  • Accounting entries and reconciliation work (assisting in the preparation and calculation of management accounts)
  • Supporting the management team with other tasks and projects

The successful candidate will have:

  • Finance/Business Administration degree, minimum Bachelor
  • Some prior work experience within finance or accounting (likely part qualified studying CIMA or ACCA, 0-2+ years experience)
  • Exceptional analytical and logical thinking abilities
  • An energetic personality with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accountable and committed to team goals
  • Flexible, calm under pressure and able to multitask
  • The ability to thrive in an international and fast-paced environment
  • Aspirations to pursue an international career
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills in English, additional language skills a plus
