Badael’s Mission:

To foster transformative justice as the foundation for real and sustainable peace in Syria, by supporting organic civil society development and promoting discourses and narratives within and around the Syrian context that are rights-based, pluralistic, inclusive, and that facilitate holistic truth and understanding.

The Communication Assistant Intern will be primarily responsible for designing clear engaging graphic communications, including multimedia designs, infographics and posters as well as supporting the Communication Officer with social media platforms management.

The right candidate should have an education background in communication arts specifically graphics and visual communication, as well as basic adobe premiere knowledge. S/he should also have excellent verbal and written English skills. This opportunity is open for 2 interns worldwide as the tasks can be carried out remotely with flexible working hours.

This is an unpaid internship that will last approximately 16 weeks.

Terms of Reference:

* Assist in implementing the communication and social media action plans.

* Follow up on the organization accounts on social media platforms, post content and monitor comments.

* Assist in updating the communication database and newsletter list.

* Support translating and proofreading content prepared for several communication purposes (Arabic/English). * Create visual content for our social media platforms.

Qualifications:

* Related education background in communication arts, Graphic Design major is preferred. * Excellent English writing, proofreading, and editing skills, Arabic language skills are a plus.

* Experience in social media platforms management and content creation. * Proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe premiere and Illustrator is highly preferred.

* Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, infographics, color, and other graphic design fundamentals. * Interest in peacebuilding, human rights, and the Syrian file. * Ability to pay attention to detail and produce work in a timely manner. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and think creatively and analytically
