CANADEM
CANADEM is seeking seasoned professionals with previous relevant experience for its Site and Settlement Planning roster. CANADEM is a Canadian based NGO that works with various UN agencies through the standby partnership programme. We regularly deploy candidates in various areas of expertise all around the globe. Registration with CANADEM is always free. We are looking to expand our pool of experts for potential/upcoming opportunities with different UN agencies field offices. Most positions are for 3 to 6 month deployments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in the humanitarian settlement planning/urban planning and infrastructure fields.
- Experience working in international organizations, humanitarian community and amiliarity with the humanitarian reform and cluster approach.
- Experience in project management and implementation
- Experience in writing donor proposals, technical requirements, documents, and compiling diverse datasets.
Working experience in the region is an asset. - Management experience in conflict or post-conflict contexts is desirable.
- Proficient in use of computer applications and knowledge of settlement planning tools e.g. AutoCAD & GIS.
- Good knowledge of English language
- Knowledge of Russian, Ukrainian, and/or other European languages are an asset
