Operations Controller 80-100%

Helvetic Airways Operations Control Center (OCC) is the department that coordinates the daily flight operation. Short term planning, irregularity handling, support of on-time performance and problem solving are just a few keywords of the complex duties covered by the Operations Control Center.

Duties and Responsabilities

• Planning and coordinating of the daily flight Operations
• React on operational irregularities
• Optimizing the aircraft and crew flow
• Creation of operational flight plans (OFP)
• Submission of ATC flight plans and coordination of ATC slots
• Weather analysis (METAR, TAF, SWC, etc.)
• NOTAM analysis
• Crew Control
• Liaise with the maintenance department, cockpit and cabin crews, handling agents, airport authorities and air traffic control during the daily operation
• Administrative support in the area of ground operations (scheduling, overflight/landing permissions, ground handling arrangements, fuel requests, etc.)
• Arrange single charter flights incl. coordination with airports, ground handling companies and other stakeholders

Candidates must have

• Fluently in English, excellent written and verbal communication
• Preferably able to speak and read in German
• Willingness to work at weekends and public holidays
• Communicative and likes to work with people
• Detail oriented, cooperative with “can do” attitude
• High degree of independence and commitment
• Excellent analytical, planning, organizing skills and fully computer literate (MS Office)
• Previous experience in a similar position is a must
• License as flight operations office/flight dispatcher (FAA, LBA, ICAO, etc) is an advantage
• Minimum age 21 years
