Events Administration Assistant required for our well-respected Colchester-based client. Reporting to the Marketing Coordinator, the successful candidate will also work with the Head of Marketing and Assistant Marketing Manager in delivering the firm’s marketing strategy. This is an opportunity to join a busy, award-winning team in a brand-new role, assisting the team with general administrative duties, contact database housekeeping, and back-office assistance with the company’s wide variety of events, both in-person and virtual. The position is full time and will be based in their Colchester office but there will be the opportunity to work from home, if desired, in line with the Firm’s flexible working guidelines. There may be some occasions where events occur outside of working hours, and off site, and therefore the ability to drive would be an advantage.
The Role
Event administration including email invitation creation and delegate booking coordination
Work alongside the head of marketing and assistant marketing manager to assist in the delivery of the firms marketing strategy
Coordination of resources for events, exhibitions and shows
Responsibility for marketing kit and materials
General administration including filing, compiling documents, circulating press coverage
Contact database housekeeping/mailing list upkeep/distribution list generation
Assistance behind the scenes at virtual and in-person events
Management of literature stock
The Person
Excellent communication skills
Ideally previous event administration experience
Knowledge and//or experience of marketing for events/exhibitions bit not essential
A good standard of Education; you will hold a level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration or have completed your A Levels (or equivalent).
Evidence of excellent Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and your workload efficiently
