The opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Hygiene Team Leader to join the IPL team based at our site in Westry, Cambridgeshire. Working as part of the Quality Assurance Team you will play a key role in ensuring the hygiene of the unit is compliant with Company standards as well as supporting in the development of our site’s procedures and practices.
The Hygiene Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day supervision and training of the hygiene team, supporting in the development of site hygiene procedures for new assets.
As an expert in your field you will be responsible for completing annual allergen cleaning validations whilst Ensuring that hygiene equipment is fit for purpose and operational at all times
You will provide cover for absence in the team and support Production in cleaning changeovers to reduce downtime.
This is a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 6pm – 6am, with an hourly rate of £12.58. Opportunity to earn up to £13.08 pe rhour with bonus.

About you
You will be an experienced and passionate Hygiene Leader who has previous experience within a Food Production or FMCG environment with excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
As a knowledgeable leader, you will demonstrate the capability and drive to motivate colleagues, teams and peers by using strong interpersonal and communication skills.
You will have excellent communication skills and will have the confidence to challenge peers when appropriate. You will be able to work with diverse stakeholders and have the ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
Food Safety Certificate and COSHH certificate are all essential for this role.
Knowledge of external audit standards is desirable for this position.
About The Site
Westry is our Cambridgeshire based potato and onion packing facility. There are a number of support roles on site with the majority of colleagues working within our operations team.
