Tearfund in Nigeria is looking to recruit motivated, experienced and qualified person into the position of Construction Project Manager.

Tearfund Nigeria has secured funding from Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) to establish a plastic recycling project in Yola. A significant component of the project is the construction of a recycling hub on a plot of land which has been secured by the project. The project is being implemented jointly by Tearfund and its local partner (Yola Renewal Foundation). This role will oversee the development of the site, and to ensure the site is completed safely, within an agreed timeframe and budget, at the required quality. The role will manage the practical side of every stage of the building, working closely with building professionals in the planning and delivery.

The role will also supervise and direct a range of operations on the construction site, ensuring that all tradespeople and contractors work together to an agreed plan, and ensuring that progress is made. The role will oversee the whole site, which will include the following specific construction aspects:

• Construction of a secure perimeter wall for site (110 ft x 200 ft) with entrance and exit points as per plan
• Drilling of borehole and construction of storage tower/water tank
• Provision of electricity through transformer and laying of underground wiring
• Construction of factory building.

This position is for a period of five (5) months and will be offered on local terms and conditions with a monthly salary of NGN 1,040,074.00.
