SKILLS FACTORY
In the SKILLS FACTORY on Samos crafts(wo)men from all over the world come here together to share their expertise and their ideas, to learn with and from each other and to produce the things they need the most, themselves.

As the VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR you will be responsible for:

• Covering the annual leave of our volunteer coordinator in charge (3 months including handover)
• General oversight of our team (consisting of about 30 external, local and community volunteers).
• Presenting the project to new applicants from the community, assessing their skills and interests, registering them with the authorities, introducing them to the team and the processes, maintaining the papers (registration) and accompanying the team during their time in the SKILLS FACTORY.
• Participating and leading of regular team meetings and self-care circles.
• Managing the volunteer accommodation
• Ensuring constant and sustainable development of the department
• Helping with general tasks in the SKILLS FACTORY

· Requirements:

• Education or relevant professional experience as social worker, team leader, coordinator or similar.
• Working person-centered, participatory and resources-oriented
• Computer skills (used to work with office)
• Highly motivated, well-structured and creative, uncomplicated, unconventional in problem solving, team spirit
• open to learn with and from colleagues
• Mentally stable and able to deal with confronting situations and to maintain healthy boundaries.
• Sharing our values, philosophy and vision of the world.
• Available for 3 months (from the 14th of April)
