We are looking for a Business intelligence Supervisor.

In this role you will be overseeing a small team of developers. Our ideal candidate will bring a balance of supervision and hands on experience in development. A comprehensive understanding of SQL development. Knowledge of Epic and reporting tool are a plus.

The Business Intelligence Supervisor serves as the first level of supervision, mentoring leading implementation of health system business intelligence strategy and project teams within their Emphasis Area. Responsibilities will include day-to-day work assignments, assisting in performance evaluations, and making recommendations for hiring/disciplinary actions/promotions/terminations. Establishes and maintains a consultative partnership with business owners, stakeholders and leadership interacting frequently with executives, senior leadership, and system office colleagues. Responsible for contributing to the development and operationalizing the health system business intelligence strategy within their Emphasis Area. Responsible for developing, analyzing, and evaluating information/data to create and maintain business intelligence that supports the strategic objectives, mission and business intelligence strategy of the health system. Collaborates with technical teams and EDW teams to develop needed data infrastructure for respective business intelligence solutions. Supports business intelligence tools and systems, and end-users of these tools and systems. Contributes to and supports data and analytic governance, process and tool documentation, data and analytic asset inventories, and business intelligence knowledge base documentation.

The Job Requirements Are

  • Master’s degree required or 10 years of experience and relevant education (associates, bachelors, and certifications) may be considered in lieu of Master’s degree. Relevant education is preferred in the following areas:
  • Computer Science, Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Math, Public Health preferred for Governance Emphasis Area.
  • Computer Science, Health Informatics, Math preferred for Dev/Ops: Data Architecture/Engineering and Data Management Emphasis Area.
  • Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health preferred for Business Analytics Emphasis Area.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in data analysis of complex, large data sets required, preferably in healthcare.
