International Projects & Partnership Facilitator (22:019)

Term of App’t: One year term, 35 hours per week

Start date: Immediately

Reporting to: Director of International Education

Salary

Classification 15 ($27.32 – $28.17 per hour), as per BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees also receive an additional $0.50/hr. in lieu of benefits, as well as having 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay. There is scheduled time off between Christmas and New Year’s Day that will be unpaid time.

Description

Under the direction of the Director of International Education, the International Projects and Partnerships Facilitator will coordinate various international educational projects, according to project plans, deliverables, and timelines, which will include study abroad projects, international partnership projects, and special projects related to internationalization on campus and in the communities of Northern BC.

While in this position, you will be providing communications, advising, and referring students interested, and/or participating, in Study Abroad activities. These include advising on study abroad options; referrals for academic planning; supporting students to complete applications, required documents, and risk plans; and travel preparation advising.

Depending on funding available, the term of this employment contract may be extended.

Required

Qualifications:

Ø Successful completion of a two-year diploma in Business, Management, Communications, Social Sciences, or an international related program, with preference being given to those who hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Ø Minimum of at least one year of supporting and advising students in an international or intercultural context

Ø Previous experience in project management.

Ø Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office Suite (excel, word, outlook, etc.)

Ø Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, including meeting deadlines and working effectively in a team.

Ø The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise tact, diplomacy, discretion, and sensitivity is essential.

Ø Current and valid driver’s license (some travel may be necessary).

Ø The successful candidate must successfully complete a comprehensive clerical test.
