PROGRAM DETAILS:
This will be a full-time (35hrs per week) paid internship on the Global Sourcing team running from June 6th – August 12th. The program will allow the intern to explore the retail industry along with gaining a greater understanding of a catalogue business. During the 10-week program, interns will gain exposure to the business through hands-on learning, executive meet and greets, panel discussions, and so much more!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Sourcing department
- Supporting the Sourcing Team in ensuring products are arriving on time and accurately
- Become familiar with sourcing and product development strategies, the production process and cost/pricing targets, fit process, raw materials
- Learn how to work with vendors to build relationships that serve business goals
- Understand the Brand’s developmental calendar and assist in meeting milestone requirements
- Learn the process involved in resolving issues that may occur throughout the product development process related to development, costing and delivery
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expected graduation year: May 2022 – May 2023
- Eagerness to learn about the product development process
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience working in Excel
