Immediate need for experienced Senior Accountant level candidate to join stable growing Chemical Distribution Company headquartered north of Atlanta. This role is work from home remote but we are seeking a candidate local to the Atlanta Market who can occasionally come to the home office. This new growth related role will be part of a tenured accounting team reporting to the Controller. With this organization being a mid size privately held corporation, the Senior Accountant will have a the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of different special projects in addition to core duties.

Accountant Job Duties:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly closing activities including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the General Ledger and make related journal entries
• Performs inventory valuations, reconciliations and reporting
• Works with the supply chain organization to improve KPIs such as on time delivery and cost
• Periodically support and cross-training with other team members.
• Assists with special projects, internal and external audit requests, year-end activities and related duties.

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
• Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience
• Understanding of Inventory Accounting Preferred
• Financial reporting and analytics
• Quick learner of ERP systems
• Excellent MS Office (including Excel) and computer abilities;
• Superior organizational and time management skills
• Team player with ability to problem solve effectively and collaboratively
