What Awaits You?
• Your primary responsibility will be to manage, steer and develop all finance activities for all three major manufacturing legal entities under the control of the Accounting, Compliance department. You will ensure adherence to accounting standards, financial integrity, Internal Controls and associated financial governance.
• You will steer the finance processes for all stock, raw material, work-in-progress and finished goods to satisfy legal obligations. You will also be responsible for Revenue (Turnover) and Cost of Sales analysis and control.
• Ensuring financial compliance, including supporting the design, implementation and management of appropriate processes to ensure and integrity within the internal control structures, FO guidelines and legal requirements.
• Your remit will include steering of material cost analysis including off standards and subsequent management reporting as well as costs planning for Budget and Forecast Profit and loss and balance sheet. You will also drive obsolescence, production scrap, ageing material control process and associated accounting treatments.
• You will own, steer and influence Plant DIO (Days-Inventory-Outstanding) KPI Targets to successful outcome / target achievement. You will also steer Standard Product Costing (HKprop) creation, analysis and steering for Press Work and associated components for LU network (incl. third party supply).
• Supporting the General Manager to manage, motivate and develop direct reports to optimise business results and target achievements. You will provide financial information to senior management to assist understanding and requirements for senior management action.
• You will support all IT project activity that has direct effect on development of either new project implementations or continuing enhancement of existing IT landscape to support process improvement and greater efficiencies.
Qualifications and Experience
• Part-Qualified Accountant (preferably UK professional body: ACA, ACMA or ACCA) or qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent business-based bachelor’s degree is preferred. Proven management accounting or relevant finance experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge and understanding of internal control structures as well as internal and external audit procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and a constant questioning mindset is a pre-requisite.
• Demonstrable experience with an industry finance function with strong understanding of supply chain / logistics processes and appreciation of manufacturing operations and logistics is advantageous.
• Good working knowledge and understanding of all financial processes and the related IT landscape.
• Capability to prepare and present understandable (based on target audience) management reports to associates, Technology Directors when required.
• The ability deputise for the Accounting Compliance department, General Manager, Accounting and Compliance, when required.
