Senior Financial Controller

The Team

You will report to the Head of Accounting HQ and be part of a team of 10+ skilled and highly experienced colleagues, and you will be working closely together with the other Finance teams in DK as well as in the Global organization.

The Role

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will be a Subject Matter Expert on selected areas relevant for the Finance Accounting & Controlling department.

In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

• Meeting the defined compliance milestones related to IFRS reporting and Audit
• Ensure effective and robust end to end financial controlling and local partnering around statutory deliveries
• Support collecting input needed for the compliance project requirements as well as other IT projects
• Support the team in facilitating and coordinating the external & internal audit processes
• Drive and support local improvement processes related to financial compliance and financial controlling within entities and areas of scope
• Drive and support all finance and statutory requirements within entities/accounts of the scope
• Support improving the activities and specialized expertise related to month-end controlling and ensure full alignment globally and with IFRS, and with other global sites in the Group
• Support implementing all global financial strategies & initiatives affecting Widex A/S – and transform them into daily operations.
• Ad hoc operational handling of various financial compliance tasks, i.e. preparation/review of reconciliations, VAT declarations, statistical reporting etc.

Candidate Profile

The selected candidate will be a skilled and future-thinking Financial Controller with a focus on a business. You will display solid communication and interpersonal ability to work with stakeholders.

Experience

• Degree in Finance (Cand Merc or equivalent)
• 3-7 years of experience from an auditor position as well as operational financial controlling, and/or global consulting position
• You are skilled in Excel, and you have an ability for IT, ERP, and BI systems
• Working with teams in a matrix structure across the globe; experience from operating in a matrix organization would be an advantage
• Fluent in English both verbally and in writing. Danish is an advantage – though not a requirement

• Ability to deliver high quality with short deadlines
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, efficient integrity, and a respectful – yet confident personality that goes well with global colleagues on all levels
• Open and team-oriented person yet used to work freely as a self-starter with a good motivation wanting to find solutions even when not easy
• Ethics, certainty, handling ambiguity and being open to change and learning

The corporate language is English, so you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
