Senior Payroll Tax Specialist (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end processes, year-end closings, and collaborate across HR and other departments on various tasks and initiatives.
  • Work with the global mobility and Equity team to capture benefit data for assignees.
  • Ensure timely processing and uploading of all payroll-related data, collaborating with accounting for accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary contact for payroll taxes and compliance, making necessary deduction changes and submitting payments.
  • Document payroll processes, examine records for tax compliance, and conduct reconciliations as needed.
  • Research and resolve tax discrepancies, assist with online payment filing, and address tax notices.
  • Coordinate tax payment, filing, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and local laws.

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • Extensive Switzerland payroll tax knowledge is a must.
  • 8-10 years of payroll tax experience. Full understanding of end-to-end payroll process. Preferably in an international setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Fluent in English, strong proficiency in Germany highly preferred; other languages a plus.
  • Proficient in accounting, finance, and software like MS Office, Oracle, and ADP; problem-solving and attention to detail essential.
  • Seeking open-minded individuals who can manage details and remain calm under pressure.
  • An understanding of equity and mobility is required to facilitate frequent audits/reviews from a tax perspective.
  • Proficient with different payroll software’s
  • Full understanding of expat payrolls and processes.
