This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled, dynamic and committed professional with experience in finance and administration to join our growing organisation working at the forefront of the fight against tropical deforestation, climate change and social injustice.
This role sits within The Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) Programmes Team which is responsible for the implementation of our projects. Our work is split into the following thematic areas:
- Land and livelihoods: participatory mapping, land-use planning, community forests, indigenous livelihoods and tenure reform.
- Countering threats to forests: Real-time forest monitoring, research on deforestation drivers, advocacy on logging, extractive industries, agribusiness and infrastructure development.
- Sustainable conservation and human rights: Research and advocacy on militarised nature protection, forest offset schemes and aid effectiveness.
THE ROLE
As the Programmes Finance Administrator, you will support the financial management of the Forest for the Future programme (co-funded by USAID). Under the supervision of the Senior Coordinator, Programmes Finance, you will also be responsible for providing crosscutting support to several projects, which are supported by a range of institutional donors (such as Norad and FCDO) and trusts and foundations with variable procedures and fiduciary requirements.
