Your Role And Responsibilities
Our team is growing and for this we need bright minds with creativity and flexibility – what talent do you have?
Your tasks in detail:
- Manage a GDPS-PPRC infrastructure: hardware config, software installation and maintenance, software management, performance management
- Day to day z/OS System Monitoring and Production Support
- Perform DASD and Tape space management (SMS / HSM / RMM / TS7760)
- RACF Security Administration and userid management
- Review, maintain, and improve system configuration
- Troubleshooting of z/OS related problem, including manage pmr with IBM and vendors
- Support and improve mainframe Sysplex architecture
- Conduct projects to setup new software or upgrade current infrastructure (upgrade z/OS, upgrade to Z16, change DASD subsystem)
- Support and maintain automation rules defined in System Automation
- Define and maintain internal mainframe network
- Develop and maintain tools to be more productive
- Enthusiasm to work on technologies like encryption, Zowe, zOSMF, zCF, LCP, CyberVault.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
What you bring with you:
- Minimum 10+ years in z/OS administration and monitoring
- Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day z/OS operating system administration and break-fix support
- Install, maintain and distribute products manage by SMP/E (or other installation product)
- Deep understanding of critical z/OS components like JES2, OMVS, OAM, TSO, ISPF, SDSF, SMS, HSM, RMM, TDS, RACF, zSecure, TWS, Print Management, Omegamon, Encryption, SAO, TWS
- Strong experience in Storage Management: design SMS system to fulfill B&R requirement, optimize catalog/hsm/rmm, migrate disk or tape subsystem
- Experience in handling z/OS upgrades and migration
- Skilled in programming in REXX-ISPF, and one other language like Cobol, Assembler, Java
- Experience with DS8000, TS7700, and GDPS-PPRC.
