SCOPE OF WORK: The Youth Program Supervisor oversees the implementation and completion of all services, contracts, and activities pertaining to the IRC in Dallas’ Youth Programs. They lead a team of staff, manage overall quality assurance efforts and reporting, and develop effective working relationships with community partners, universities, and local school districts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise Refugee Youth Mentorship and Refugee School Impact program staff to ensure that all services are provided within the required timeframes
  • Hold minimum of biweekly 1:1 meetings and trainings for staff and interns
  • Conduct regular and timely case file reviews with team members; Ensure compliance with case file documentation and reporting requirements
  • Participate in monthly calls with funding partners and attend other meetings as required
  • Act as a liaison between Dallas/Fort Worth area school districts and the IRC in Dallas.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of youth program curricula, field trips, and workshops
  • Oversee growth and expansion of youth program partnerships
  • Support Grants Coordinator with data to apply for new sources of funding
  • Ensure compliance with requirements of the program, including IRC policies and procedures, donor guidelines, and relevant federal and state regulations
  • Actively participate in communities of practice calls and events

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in the educational field or social work required. Advanced degree a plus.
  • LMSW strongly preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working in youth development programming or in an early childhood educational setting preferred
  • Program and people management experience
  • Creativity and initiative to independently lead projects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to lead workshops for groups of students
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ETO, Client Track
  • Comfortable accompanying youth program staff on home visits
  • Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Cultural sensitivity/ excellent cross cultural communication skills
  • Proficiency in Burmese, Kiswahili, Arabic, Dari, Kinyarwanda, or other relevant languages is desirable

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Standard office work environment combined with some time in the field and in neighborhoods where clients live and work.
  • Travel in and around Dallas/Ft. Worth to facilitate service delivery, build community relationships and represent the IRC with community partners.
  • Hours outside of typical office hours required at times.

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
