Contract Type: Permanent
Every Refugee deserves to live with dignity. Are you driven by a genuine desire to make a lasting impact and create a better future for young, vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers and migrants?
Every year thousands of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants arrive in the UK with little backing, money, or prospects. Often people don’t even have the means to find and contact their loved ones back home. Young people may even have arrived in the UK without a parent or guardian. It’s our job to do what we can to help.
This is a chance to be part of something that truly matters!
A day in the life of a Young Refugee Project Coordinator:

You will be part of our team providing casework, advocacy, practical and emotional support to our service users.
You will work with asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants to ensure that they are fully cared for through their journey.
You will aid them to access vital services like health, welfare & education. You’ll help young people build life skills, improve confidence and aid personal and social development.

This will be an incredibly rewarding role and will help us to achieve our mission of looking out for people in crisis.

This is a hybrid role with your week split between home and office.
To be a successful Young Refugee Project Coordinator:

Are you familiar with issues relating to asylum seekers, refugees and other vulnerable migrants? Can you provide delicate, safe, and empowering encouragement to distressed people?
Do you have experience of producing casework with vulnerable clients and cross-agency partnership working?
Can you effectively advocate on behalf of clients to realise their rights and entitlements, upholding a professional courteous persistence?
Do you have excellent organisational and time management skills – planning, managing, monitoring and prioritising workload?
Do you have strong verbal and written communication skills? Can you communicate effectively with people whose first language is not English?

Closing date for your application is Sunday 3rd December 2023.

In return for your dedication and expertise, you’ll get:

Holidays: 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + option to buy 5 extra days.
Pension scheme: Up to 6% contributory pension.
Flexible working: We do our best to accommodate your preferred work style.
Learning & Development: Wide range of career opportunities + comprehensive learning.
Discounts: Access to Blue Light Discount Card and employee benefits platform.
Wellbeing Assistance: Access to mental health and wellbeing assistance.
Team Working: Champion our mission in a collaborative team.
Cycle2Work: Lease a bicycle through the scheme.
Season ticket loan: Interest-free loan for commuting expenses.

We are proud to participate in the disability confident scheme for roles based in the UK. During the application process, you will be asked if you wish to apply under the scheme.
