JOB PURPOSE
This role involves a variety of responsibilities including fact-checking the content of materials, performing various administrative tasks assisting in the review of campaign materials and stepping in for various staff members as needed. The intern should become well-versed in the strategic aspects of the campaign, enabling them to provide effective support to the team.
TYPE OF CONTRACT
This is a fixed-term contract for 5 months.
ABOUT YOU
The Write for Rights intern will be a very enthusiastic, professional and diverse project member and will provide crucial support to the global team. You will be fluent in written and spoken English as well as have a good eye to detail.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Go through all facts mentioned in the campaign strategies and materials and cross check for accuracy.
- Support the Project Manager and Lead Campaigners with all relevant tasks.
- Assist in the review of campaign materials to ensure they are accurate and effective by liaising with the teams managing the individual case files.
- Support the team in responding to emails and queries related to the campaign in a timely and professional manner, ensuring all communications are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Acquire a deep understanding and support the development of the campaign strategy designed for each of the individuals featured in the campaign
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a fact-checking role and/or conducting desktop research.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluent level of written and spoken English.
- Good inter-personal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
- Understanding of the importance of securely handling confidential and sensitive information.
