Working Student Developer

devterm IT Solutions GmbH & Co. KG

We love to create great software for the needs of customers ranging from the next big startup to major corporations. Our goal is to deliver a product that isn’t only great today but also builds a solid foundation for whatever happens in the future.

We founded devterm in 2020 as a team of 5 software engineers, and now need YOUR help to strengthen our team as a junior developer.

Tasks

  • You will improve the reliability of our applications by testing new and existing features manually and by creating automated tests following TDD.
  • Working amongst experienced developers you will get to know the whole development process of web, mobile, or cloud apps and gain expert knowledge along the way.
  • Code reviews will feel like second nature to you after a few weeks as we constantly try to improve each other’s work.

Requirements

  • You should have an interest in learning modern frontend and/or backend frameworks.
  • You are able to communicate in English in written and spoken form.
  • You want to enhance your software engineering practices using git and are not afraid to use a terminal.
  • Experience with any kind of programming language is highly appreciated.
  • You don’t need to study anything computer science related (although enrolled at a German University).

Benefits

  • You’re free to work wherever and whenever you want.
  • We’ll be paying you a fair wage depending on your skill level in a 20h/week and 26 days vacation/year contract.
  • Join us for regular knowledge-sharing meetups and pizza parties.
  • Though we work remotely, we’re going to speak to each other at least once a day in daily stand-ups or our planning sessions and retros. In addition to that, we try to meet in person every couple of weeks (pandemic dependent).
  • Inspired by open source software projects, continuous integration and delivery pipelines help us find issues before they become problems while getting the finished product out of the door as quickly as possible.
  • The most important thing for us is giving and accepting feedback so that we can grow together.
