The Opportunity

Join Trócaire’s dynamic and diverse Programmes team, where you will work as part of an innovative and collaborative team that has a focus on the implementation of high-quality development programming in the areas of women’s voice, leadership and protection, access to justice and human rights, climate justice and sustainable livelihoods. You will work with a diverse and brilliant global team of programme staff and local implementing partners, as part of a supportive and collaborative team, with a focus on supporting local communities to claim their voice and use their power, and you will grow our work globally on women’s voice and leadership. You will report to the Head of Programmes. The job opportunity will be offered on a fixed term contract of two years’ duration and can be located in Ireland, Zimbabwe, or Kenya. As part of your role, you will manage a team of approximately three professionals.

We are looking for an experienced leader in the area of gender equality/women’s empowerment, who has the strategic vision and the experience, along with the values and commitment, to continue to deepen, shape and grow our high-quality programming globally on women’s voice, leadership and protection. We are looking for someone with international experience in this area, that can bring to the role a diverse set of skills to match the multifaceted nature of the role. We are looking for a candidate that is energised by working with a diverse team, in diverse situations, and who can adapt and respond to meet the needs of those they support and need.
