The Williams College Office of Accessible Education seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide temporary administrative work. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, be able to work both independently and with a team and in a busy office, be tech-savvy, and collaborative, with a strong attention to detail. You would handles sensitive material and interfaces with students, family members, staff, and faculty.

We are looking for someone able to support the team 20 to 25 hours per week for at least the fall semester. Temporary work is subject to the needs of the College, and as such, may change at any time. Pay range is from $18 to $22 per hour, commensurate with experience. Resumes will be reviewed on an on-going basis. This position would work primarily on campus, with some possibility of remote work from locations in MA, CT, NY, or VT.

Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of administrative duties for the office ensuring effective operation of department functions including front-line, highly confidential communication with faculty, staff, students and families
Support logistics for the Office of Accessible Educations, manage electronic calendars, keep office records, oversight of student employee work hours, order supplies, reconcile monthly purchasing cards, as well as other projects as assigned.
Assists office staff in the collection of disability documentation and other relevant information
Assists office staff in providing auxiliary supports and services to students
Performs other duties as assigned in support of the Accessible Education mission

Qualifications

Experience working with individuals with disabilities
Demonstrated commitment to advancing disability inclusion and accessibility
Demonstrated knowledge of assistive aids and technologies
Demonstrated competency with various software applications
Experience working in a university or college setting

Working Conditions

Mental Demands
Ability to use computers extensively for up to 5 hours at a time.
Ability to learn and use computers, software, assistive technology and office equipment.
Ability to read, think, and exercise reasonable judgment.
Ability to memorize and apply various laws, rules and policies.
Ability to problem solve, provide support for people of diverse abilities.
