The Program

The Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) was established in 2017 to support and implement Australia’s aid programs such as health, education, emergency preparedness and response and governance in Fiji. The Facility also supports the Australia Awards in Fiji and Tuvalu. The Facility integrates cross-cutting themes, including gender equality, disability and social inclusion, climate change and Disaster Risk Reduction, across sectoral programs. In particular, the Facility seeks to strengthen program outcomes by better addressing the needs of targeted beneficiaries including those who are often marginalised.

The Institutional Partnerships Program (IPP) partners with the Government of Fiji to deliver assistance in targeted areas where Australia is well placed to support Fiji navigate the economic impact of COVID-19: through government twinning partnerships, technical assistance and grants that can be mobilised quickly to support Fiji’s ongoing stability, prosperity and resilience to shocks.

This support includes business process improvements and using digital technologies to improve services to the public.

The Position

The Business Process Systems Developer will work closely with a team of BPI specialists and systems developers from the Government of Fiji, and reporting to the Systems Architect to develop custom IT systems that automate the core business processes that have been improved as part of their Business Process Improvement (BPI) framework such as Human Resources, Finance, Procurement and Transport.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field with at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in software development in a web-based environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing and implementing large-scale IT systems including demonstrated ability to analyse problems and implement innovative solutions using ICT.
