Germany – 2 newly created roles available to raise awareness of the benefits of whole gene sequencing (WGS) for identification of rare genetic conditions.

In these exciting, specialised, brand-new field-based positions you will provide healthcare professionals (Neonatologists, Paediatric Neurologists, Genetics) with information about the benefits of whole gene sequencing for rare disease identification, by educating them and communicating the clinical value, beneficial outcomes, and economic data related to genomic testing, generating demand and preference for WGS as a superior diagnostic tool – WGS testing will end the diagnostic odyssey experienced by patients with rare genetic conditions, enabling them to finally receive the targeted treatment they need.

Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders in the healthcare setting, you will be an expert in this field, and will attend relevant conferences/congresses, workshops, and scientific meetings, maintaining an awareness of and assessing emerging evidence in the disease area to educate and enhance discussions with your customers, keeping up to date with clinical acuity and expertise.

Required skills and experience:

  • 1-2+ years prior experience in the diagnostic industry or healthcare environment, with special emphasis on rare genetic disease
  • A strong life science background (MSc, PhD) with the capability to engage with senior level stakeholders credibly (i.e. key scientific leaders, investigators, clinical practice leaders, and academic affiliated institutions)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills
  • Deep therapeutic and/or diagnostic competency
  • Team-minded with ability to be innovative and flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Understanding of, and experience with, regulatory framework applicable to interactions with health care providers, advocacy, and other business partners
  • Ability to communicate in both English and German
  • Eligibility to work full-time in Germany
  • Willingness to travel across Germany
  • Full driving license.
