This position will sit within the Marketing Technology department. Marketing Technology is responsible for the enterprise supporter management platforms that support the global delivery of private sector resources, as well as the key partnerships, advocacy and influence objectives of the External Relations, Communications and Advocacy departments. These platforms also play an important strategic role in the creation of brand, its awareness and support for fundraising and advocacy goals. The platforms include the Enterprise CRM platform, various donation platforms, the global website and email communications platforms.

Job Overview / Summary (What and Why):

The Website Product Manager role calls for someone who can lead all aspects of digital content platforms, including implementation, development and maintenance of key roadmap projects. This person will be responsible for content platforms; coordinate web content and development projects for digital content, and drive the delivery of platform feature upgrades and new platforms on an international scale. This person must be highly proficient at operating and driving execution in product development. They are data driven, excels at web development, problem solving and analytical thinking. They will oversee, analytics, testing and integrations on the platform side and directly implement the launch/transition of new geographies. They will work closely with a team of developers, content contributors and product specialists. They will be the primary lead for third party contractors as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

Product Management, Content Platforms

  1. Responsible for the central Drupal CMS for markets in the US, UK, SE, DE, KR and 20 global remote markets. Provides hands-on, detailed coordination of a variety of development efforts in support of marketing and content delivery, including implementation of roadmap updates to web platforms; on-site testing and conversion optimization; and development for accessibility, engaging user experience, search engine optimization and coordinated marketing campaigns.
  2. Works in close collaboration with multi-functional teams (Marketers, Vendors, Design/Content, Developers) to ensure development projects are delivered on deadline and with high quality.
  3. Runs digital platform development projects in roadmap, project timelines, supervise progress, troubleshoot issues and roadblocks.
  4. Implements key updates to central CMS.
  5. Guides direct report(s) in creation of assets, web pages, and content management, providing an environment for knowledge and growth.
  6. Coordinates delierverables across internal and external teams (Vendors, Marketing Fundraisers, CRM Team, Creative Studio). Partners with Global Analytics team on platform testing, tracking and integration, implementation and testing.
  7. Leads team’s relationship with vendors and developers.
  8. Handles project queue for BAU, development and targeted markets/campaigns.
  9. Establishes key relationships at various levels across the organisation to define and lead fundraising projects for the platforms. Superb communication skills, works closely with multiple clients, including donor services to ensure the platforms are designed and crafted to fit donor needs.
  10. Trains all new users on the Drupal platform. Works with new users across multiple markets to define goals for the platform, establishes new business processes and governance as needed; in order to support revenue, donor acquisition and retention.
  11. Ensures that the visual design of web platforms supports project goals and is consistent with interpersonnel brand and accessibility guidelines.
  12. Supports data quality within all marketing technology platforms and products to ensure data integrity. Supports analytics across all components of websites.
  13. Monitors website KPIs in analytics suite. Maintains relationship with Marketing Analytics team to ensure that data flows properly from frontend analytics to backend datamart. Promotes a culture of data driven decision making.
  14. Leads integrations in marketing tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, Tag Manager, Data Studio, Optimize, Heatmapping tools, etc.
  15. Leads quality assurance testing for fundraising platform updates
  16. Documentation of integral platform updates, issues, tickets, business processes

Position reports to: Deputy Director, Marketing Technology

Position directly supervises: Website, Product Specialist

Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Internal*:* Handles content products/platforms that drive brand awareness, lead generation and revenue with various teams across the organization. This includes External Relations, mass marketing, advocacy, IT, Germany, Sweden, US programs, CRM.

External: Handles the relationship with vendor Kanopi. Manages the work of the Website Product Specialist. Works as part of web development team that includes frontend development, marketing analytics, and collaboration with external consultants (including developers, designers). Supports a global marketing team in the USA and Europe in fundraising platform development. Collaborates with external consultants (including software developers and designers).

Job Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree or related course work

Preferred: Coursework in Computer/Information Science or equivalent work experience

Work Experience:

Product Management, Project Management, Digital Fundraising platforms, Design/Development

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience coordinating digital marketing projects and campaigns.

  • Extensive knowledge of key areas of Web development: user experience design, usability, search engine optimisation, accessibility, high degree of comfort with technology.

  • Business sense: understand client and donor needs, solution oriented, results that drive revenue growth

  • Experience evaluating visual design.

  • Experience in web analytics and tracking web key performance indicators using Google Analytics or similar.

  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Developed organization and problem-solving abilities, exceptional project management ability and application of standard methodologies.

  • Proficient in generating and applying business insights to improve platforms

Preferred:

  • Experience with mobile development.
  • Experience coordinating Web QA and cross-browser testing.
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
  • Working knowledge of project coordination tools and processes (Jira/Assembla/Workfront/Airtable).
  • Experience launching international markets on cms platforms from a technical standpoint
  • Experience with Drupal CMS from a product management standpoint.
  • Experience working with analytics and marketing tags (GTM, or similar tools)
  • Korean, German, Spanish, Swedish, French language skills a plus
