Chemonics International is seeking to engage a highly qualified and experienced Transaction Advisor who would provide expert guidance to the Jordan Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the Water Authority of Jordan, who seek to award a contract for the management of the Yarmouk Water Company. This Expression of Interest (EOI) notice invites interested and eligible individuals and firms with demonstrated legal and financial expertise in transaction advisory services within the water sector to submit their qualifications for consideration. This position will be based in Amman, Jordan. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting feasibility studies, market analyses, and risk assessments related to water utility management transactions.
- Developing transaction strategies and structuring innovative solutions to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Assisting in the preparation and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement documents.
- Facilitating negotiations with potential service providers and stakeholders.
- Providing guidance on regulatory compliance and best practices in water utility management transactions.
- Supporting the client in contract negotiations and finalization.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in providing transaction advisory services in the water sector, with demonstrable success in similar projects
- Expertise in conducting feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk analysis in the context of water utility management transactions
- In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and emerging trends in the water sector
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to facilitate consensus among diverse stakeholders
- Experience working with government agencies, utilities, and international organizations in the water sector is highly desirable
- Relevant certifications and memberships in professional bodies related to transaction advisory services in the water sector
