WASH PROGRAM MANAGER

Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principals- independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been part of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of under-nutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts or natural disasters. RESPONSIBILITIES

The WASH program manager will identify and supervises the implementation of WASH programs that are appropriate and comprehensive, in conformity with overarching strategy and the standards set internationally, by ACF and by national policies.
Under the supervision of the area East zone coordinator, the wash program manager will be responsible for the following activities:
– Contributes to deliberations on strategy and positioning of WASH Department,
– Ongoing, systematic and thorough analysis of the humanitarian situation in respect of WASH and of the context of intervention in his/her field of activity,
– Supervise and manage the team,
– Set up, implement and report on WASH projects,
– Contribute to the quality, accountability, impact measurement process and capitalization process; as well as to the technical development in his/her sector,
– Compliance to the ACF Values & Principles, Gender equality, Child protection sensitivity and Safeguarding policies,

REQUESTED PROFILE

You hold a degree in WASH related studies (engineering, public health, geology…) with at least a two year experience in humanitarian program and team management (being able to manage reporting tools, budget management, knowing the humanitarian standards…),
You have an extensive knowledge of WASH programming through various modalities,
You have an experience in conflict-affected settings,
You have a professional experience managing a team (supervision, delegation, motivation, addressing conflicts),
You have a cood organization skills, ability to set priorities and time management,
You are fluent in written and spoken English required; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an asset,

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

6 months fixed term contract under French legislation
Monthly gross salary from 2130 to 2475 EUR upon experience
Monthly per diem and living allowance: 837EUR net, field paid
Monthly country allowance: 450EUR
Child allowance: 1500EUR per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000EUR/year)
16% of the gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens
Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + complementary health) and repatriation insurance
Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year and 250EUR at each RnR period (+flight ticket reimbursement up to 700$)
