Chemonics

Chemonics International seeks to build a roster of qualified and experienced senior level experts, Deputy Chief of Party, and Chief of Party candidates for current and anticipated water and WASH-focused donor-funded programs. We seek expertise in one or more of the following areas: water resource management; water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); urban WASH; water sector governance; water sector financing; systems thinking; water sector policy and regulation; water sector resilience and planning; and climate change mitigation and adaptation. Position locations will vary depending on awards and may include: United States, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, and opportunities worldwide.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree (or higher) in water and environmental engineering, public health, business, international affairs, public administration, public policy, or a related field.
  • Proven technical experience in target countries in WASH, water resource management, urban WASH or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years in the management and supervisory experience of WASH, water resource management, governance, and/or capacity building programs with a US Government foreign affairs agency, international assistance organization, or non-governmental organization.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of field experience working in one or more developing countries.
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with high level representatives from both the public and private sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience managing teams, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with USAID regulations and compliance requirements preferred.
  • Fluency in English required; French language a plus.
